Hoare Govett on the Verge
Royal Bank of Scotland is on the verge of disposing of its Hoare Govett corporate broking business.
It is understood that Jeffries, the US investment bank, is about to buy the business in a transaction that will involve the transfer of about 60 people.
Discussions about licensing the Hoard Govett brand to Jeffries are ongoing.
